Location Painting sets Her Apart

Location Painting sets Her Apart

Nothing really compares to painting what you see. A camera doesn't require the thoughtful mixing of color onto palette, its very slow methodical work in comparison. On the banks of Columbia River, Master instructor Deanne Lemley set’s up her easel for an oil sketch on canvas. Car pooling to various locations is her practice, coordinating locations and scouting for optimal lighting for the painting experience in plein air. It's her practice to paint with other artists. Deanne Lemley teaches various approaches to working on-site and how to efficiently compose and complete plein air paintings. Emphasis is placed on how to effectively translate the often complex three dimensional landscape onto a two dimensional plane using thumbnail sketches, limited palettes and the thoughtful use of colors, values, shapes, edges and textures. Emphasis is placed on the creative process to make paintings that are more than strict representations of the landscape we see. Enjoy looking through the works of Master Painter Deanne Lemley today. We're glad your here.   artlegacyshop.com
