Have you ever squinted your eyes on a summer day? Try it again. That's really what the lines around edges look like. Not defined. You know mixing color on a palette is a science. I would marvel at how Mother got the exact color of the sage brush bush, or the color of those stones in this little dandy. But notice the child's little precious arms and legs are brush strokes of mixed paint.

This is cute of Mom. Deanne Lemley is an amazing human being and not always painting. Mother is a Master Painter in both watercolor and oil winning awards all over the Nation. A little known hobby is ballroom dancing. Here she's hugging her grandson and is so excited to have her family watch the performance. Let me tell you, she is very good, loving every minute of it. One little realizes going through life sketching the things and places our Mother came in contact with. What a wonderful source of inspiration it becomes later on. Also, some become a part of you. A house silhouetted by a summer afternoon sky. The style of the house differs with others in neighborhood perhaps. The Artists paintbrush working it's color, each stroke is handled in a different manner from the blush roses in foreground to the upright pillars standing guard at the entrance of the Manor.
